The Mitchell City Council will hold a special meeting on Monday evening to consider a second round of bids for the demolition of the former VFW building on Main Street. Only one company, Ironman Construction of Tyndall, submitted a bid to demolish the building. That bid was nearly 217,000 dollars. The council voted against awarding that bid. The second round of bids will open at 1 pm. The special council meeting will be held at City Hall at 5 pm.
