Mitchell City Council views new Corn Palace designs


Next generation Corn Palace Committee Chairman Doug Dailey presented the Mitchell City Council will the latest plans to renovate the exterior and interior of the Mitchell Corn Palace at this week’s council meeting. As seen in the design concepts, the plan includes new-look colored domes, the larger lobby area with glass front, and major changes to the City Hall area which will be changed to a theatre and museum once City Hall is re-located. The council may act on the 7.1 million dollar plan as early as its next meeting in two weeks.
