Congratulations go out to Charlene Gerlach and Phil Collins, both of Mitchell, as they each won $1,000 CASH in the Super Summer Giveaway from Mitchell Radio Group. Eighteen total winners were given awesome cash and prizes at the end of the summer party at The Depot in Mitchell Thursday night. Nicole Sullivan and Ben Hargraves, each of Mitchell, each won $500 CASH and Gavin Zomer of Corsica won the Halo Grill and Steven Koupal of Wagner won the Diamond Necklace. Mitchell coach Deb Thill to retire after 2025-26 school year

The Mitchell School District says longtime coach Deb Thill will retire at the end of the 2025-26 school year after 35 years leading Kernels athletics. Thill was the first volleyball coach at Mitchell High School and has been the program’s only head coach, the district said.
