Congratulations go out to Charlene Gerlach and Phil Collins, both of Mitchell, as they each won $1,000 CASH in the Super Summer Giveaway from Mitchell Radio Group. Eighteen total winners were given awesome cash and prizes at the end of the summer party at The Depot in Mitchell Thursday night. Nicole Sullivan and Ben Hargraves, each of Mitchell, each won $500 CASH and Gavin Zomer of Corsica won the Halo Grill and Steven Koupal of Wagner won the Diamond Necklace. South Dakota is facing a major bird flu outbreak, with more than 135,000 turkeys destroyed at three facilities to contain the spread.
