MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — The Corn Palace Shrine Circus is set to return to Mitchell April 27–29, bringing a long-standing tradition of family entertainment, thrilling performances, and community impact.

The annual event, held at The World’s Only Corn Palace, has been a staple in Mitchell for decades, drawing families from across the region for a mix of classic circus acts. Attendees can expect high-energy performances featuring acrobats, clowns, aerialists, animal acts, and other crowd-pleasing entertainment designed for all ages.

This year’s showtimes include:

Tickets are on sale now, with both reserved seating and general admission options available. Reserved tickets guarantee specific seating, while general admission allows for flexible entry based on availability. Tickets can be purchased in advance through official outlets or at the door, though early purchase is encouraged to secure preferred seating.

Beyond the entertainment, the Shrine Circus supports the mission of the Shriners, an organization known for its philanthropic work. Shriners are dedicated to helping children through Shriners Hospitals for Children, providing specialized medical care regardless of a family’s ability to pay. Proceeds from events like the circus help support these efforts.

Local radio stations KMIT and KOOL 98.3 will also be part of the excitement, offering ticket giveaways throughout the month. In addition, a bike giveaway will take place at each performance, adding extra fun for attendees.

The Corn Palace Shrine Circus continues to be a highlight in Mitchell, combining entertainment with a meaningful cause that benefits children and families nationwide.
