Dakota Wesleyan & Mitchell Summer Basketball Camp Opportunities

Local Basketball programs have put together a variety of dates and camps for young athletes to participate in. Here are the listings for all the camps for the Tigers and Kernels for the summer for young athletes.

DWU

The Tiger men’s basketball program is getting things ready for summer. DWU will be hosting some camps for high school and collegiate athletes at a pair of locations.

Camps include:

  • Elite Camp (HS players Class of 2027-2030) – June 13 at the Christen Family Athletic Center
  • Boys Basketball Team Camp (JV & Varsity) – July 13 at the DWU/Avera Sports and Wellness Complex w/each team guaranteed three games
  • Single Day Individual Camps – July at DWU/Avera Sports and Wellness Complex
  • K-12 Shooting Camp (K-12th grade) – July 14 at DWU/Avera Sports and Wellness Complex
  • Day Camp (K-8th grade) – July 15 at DWU/Avera Sports and Wellness Complex
  • Competition Camp (3rd-12th grade) – July 16 at DWU/Avera Sports and Wellness Complex

Mitchell

The Kernel basketball program will be hosting a multitude of camps over the summer as well! The Mitchell hoops camps will feature current Kernel players, former players and the coaching staff. All camps are for boys and girls! Grades listed are for the grade the athlete is entering. Camps will take place at the Mitchell High School.

Camps include:

  • Kernel Basketball Camp (K-8th grade) – May 27 & 28 + July 8 & 9
  • Caden Hinker Skills Camp (K-8th grade) – June 8 & 9
  • Kernel Basketball Skills Academy w/Coach Gubbrud (K-4th grade) – June 11, 16, 18, 23, 25, 29 & 30 + July 13, 15, 17, 21, 23 & 29
  • Kernel Basketball Skills Academy w/Coach Gary White III “GDUB Workouts” (5th-8th grade) – June 4, 11, 15, 16, 25 & 29 + July 13, 14, 20, 21, 29 & 30
