Davison County Commission approves employee raises, tax abatements at Feb. 10 meeting

MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — Davison County Commissioners approved employee raises, several property tax abatements and routine county business during their Feb. 10 meeting, according to a county press release.

Commissioners accepted one employee resignation and approved 50-cent hourly raises for multiple staff members who completed their introductory employment periods.

The board also approved several property tax abatements tied to valuation errors, tax-exempt classifications and property losses. The abatements involved both businesses and private parcels, including properties associated with the Mitchell School District.

In other business, commissioners approved a land plat and signed off on county bills and timesheets before adjourning.

The next regular Davison County Commission meeting is scheduled for Feb. 17.
