Four Arrested After High-Speed Chase Linked to Rape and Kidnapping in Sturgis

STURGIS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Sturgis police have arrested four people after a high-speed chase connected to the rape and kidnapping of a 15-year-old girl. According to KELOLand, police say the victim escaped a Sturgis home Monday and reported being sexually assaulted and forced to take illegal drugs. When officers located a suspect, the driver fled, leading police on a dangerous pursuit through Sturgis, Deadwood, Lead, and Spearfish Canyon. Officers say drugs were thrown from the vehicle before all four suspects were arrested. The driver, Michael Wilson of Sturgis, faces multiple felony charges, including rape and aggravated kidnapping.
