WATERTOWN, S.D. – The Hon. Larry Rhoden will deliver the keynote address at Lake Area Technical College’s 24th annual Governor’s Luncheon on Tuesday, May 5. The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Student Event Center, located on Level 4 of the campus Student Center.

The Governor’s Luncheon has been hosted by the Lake Area Technical College Foundation, in partnership with South Dakota governors, since its inception in 2002. The annual luncheon raises funds for student scholarships and campus improvements. This year’s event is underwritten by the Watertown Area Community Foundation.

“For more than two decades, South Dakota governors have partnered with Lake Area Tech through the Governor’s Luncheon to help generate thousands of dollars in scholarships for our students,” Buisker said. “We are excited that Governor Rhoden is continuing this long-standing tradition.”

Tickets are $40 per person and may be purchased by calling (605) 882-5284 ext. 292, or by visiting the college’s website. Lake Area Tech alumni may receive a $5 discount by noting their graduation year when purchasing tickets. The deadline to purchase tickets is noon Tuesday, April 28.

The event is open to the public.
