SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Jury selection is underway in the high-profile triple murder trial of Justin Rackley in Lincoln County. Rackley is accused of killing three people near a backyard fire pit in Sioux Falls more than a year ago. The victims, Kellie Reaves, Michael Thompson, and Daniel Kemnitz were found dead at the scene. During Tuesday’s proceedings, potential jurors were questioned about their ability to view graphic evidence and remain impartial. The defense emphasized that Rackley is facing three counts of first-degree murder and reminded jurors that the prosecution bears the burden of proof. Once a jury is seated, the trial is expected to last about a week. For more crime stories from MitchellNow.com, click here.
