Governor Rhoden’s draft legislation matches the recommendations of his Prison Reset Task Force, calling for construction at the Benson Road site in Sioux Falls. The plan finalizes a land swap from the old Lincoln County location and makes clear the new facility won’t be used for federal immigration detention.
