MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Lake Mitchell residents now have a city-approved option for storing docks and boat lifts during the upcoming dredge project that could close the lake for nearly three years. The Park Board has set a one-time storage permit fee of $500, allowing residents to keep their equipment at four designated city lots starting this fall through spring 2028. The fee covers storage only, residents must move their own docks and lifts or hire a provider. Revenue will help fund the restoration project, which includes a lake drawdown next fall and a two-year dredging starting in 2026. For more Government stories from MitchellNow.com, Click Here.
