Mitchell Softball Debut Postponed Again, Kernel Tennis today, DWU Baseball/Softball results, Twins three straight wins & Timberwolves lose road game

Mitchell Softball

The Kernel softball teams will not get to begin their season tonight. It has been announced that the home game against Aberdeen Central had been postponed due to cold weather conditions. The game has been moved to Monday, April 20.

Mitchell Tennis

The Kernel boys tennis team will be playing today at Hitchcock Park. Mitchell will take on Huron in a Varsity Dual that begins at 1pm.

DWU Baseball

The Tiger baseball team faced the Briar Cliff Chargers again yesterday to try and close out the series on a winning note on Military & First Responders Day. Though it did not go how they had hoped and they dropped both games losing 11-10 in the first game and 12-7 in the second game. Tiger baseball now drops to 14-19 overall and 5-11 in Great Plains Athletic Conference play.

DWU Softball

The Tiger softball team took on the Waldorf Warriors yesterday afternoon on the road. They took both games against the Warriors with wins of 6-0 and 13-7. DWU softball has found a real groove and now won 10 straight games. They now sit at 28-11 overall.

MLB

The Minnesota Twins made it three in a row last night after another win over the Detroit Tigers. It was the opening inning that powered Minnesota to an 8-6 win. They posted six runs in the bottom of the first and didn’t give up any runs until the top of the sixth. They are now 6-6 overall.

NBA

The Minnesota Timberwolves played the back end of a back-to-back last night against the Orlando Magic. They could not keep up with the Magic and gave Orlando their fourth straight win after losing the game, 132-120. Terrence Shannon Jr led the way for Minnesota with 33 points of the bench.
