Mitchell Softball season begins tomorrow, DWU Baseball in Sioux City, Tiger Golf in Augie Spring Invitational, Twins fall to Rays & Timberwolves lose to Hornets

Mitchell Softball

The Kernel softball teams are back in action tomorrow night. They’re on the road in Pierre taking on the Governors at Pierre Riggs high school. The first pitch will be at 4pm for the JV and varsity begins at 5:30pm.

DWU Baseball

The Tiger baseball team will be on the road this afternoon in Sioux City, IA. They’ll face the Briar Cliff Chargers in a doubleheader with the first pitch being at 1pm.

DWU Golf

The Tiger women’s golf team has competition over the next two days. They are competing in the Augie Spring Invitational in Sioux Falls, SD at Elmwood Golf Course. Tee times for the women on both days is at 9:30am.

MLB

The Minnesota Twins slow start to the season continued yesterday after a loss to the Tampa Bay Rays. The game went 10 innings, but a three-run top of the 10th is something Minnesota could not answer, and they lost, 4-1. The Twins fell to 3-6 overall with the loss. Minnesota will face the Detroit Tigers tonight at 6:40pm on MLBTV.

NBA

The Minnesota Timberwolves saw action yesterday at home in the Target Center. They hosted the Charlotte Hornets and couldn’t come away with the win, losing 122-108. Julius Randle led the team with 26 points and added eight rebounds. Minnesota now falls to 46-32 overall.
