Tonight’s Softball Games:

Mitchell Softball

The Kernel softball team took on Aberdeen Central last night at home. It was a dominant effort from the Kernels who opened the game with a six-run inning in the bottom of the first. It was one of two six-run innings that led to 13-0 shutout in five innings for their first win of the season. Mitchell is now 1-3 overall and will play again tonight at home when they host O’Gorman. The JV plays at 4pm and then varsity starts at 5:30pm.

Mitchell Baseball

The Kernel baseball team have game action again today on the road. Mitchell will face Sioux Falls Jefferson tonight in Sioux Falls, SD at the Sanford Diamonds. It will be a doubleheader and starts at 5:30pm.

Mitchell Golf

The Kernels girls golf team is teeing it up this morning. They’re taking on Huron at Huron Broadland Creek Golf Course. Tee time is set for 11am.

Mitchell Tennis

The Kernel boys tennis team competed in a Varsity Triangular yesterday against Sioux Falls Christian and Lennox. Mitchell split their games yesterday as they lost to Sioux Falls Christian 9-0 and beat Lennox 8-1. The Kernels are now 7-2 overall. They will be playing twice again today when they host Sioux Falls Lincoln at Noon and then Sioux Falls Jefferson at 3pm.

DWU Golf

The Tiger men’s golf team began competition in the Great Plains Athletic Conference Men’s Golf Championships yesterday morning in Dakota Dunes, SD. DWU sits in fifth place at 45 over par after day one. Two Tigers sit inside the Top 15 with Dakota Munger tied for 11th place at eight over par and Peyton Bettcher with a strong start is in third place at four over par. They will continue play again this morning at 9am.

DWU Track & Field

The Tiger track & field teams are both competing in the VCSU Vikings Twilight. They’ll be in Valley City, ND and start time is at 2pm.

MLB

The Minnesota Twins get back on the field tonight. Looking to bounce back after four straight losses. They will play against the New York Mets at 6:10pm on MLBTV.

NBA

The NBA Playoffs had a few Game 2’s last night and will continue with a trio of games again tonight. Tonight’s games include:

  • 7 seed Philadelphia 76ers @ No. 2 seed Boston Celtics at 6pm on Peacock/NBCSN (BOS leads 1-0)
  • 7 seed Portland Trail Blazers @ No. 2 seed San Antonio Spurs at 7pm on NBC/Peacock (SA leads 1-0)
  • 5 seed Houston Rockets @ No. 4 seed Los Angeles Lakers at 9:30pm on NBC/Peacock (LAL leads 1-0)
