Mitchell Track & Field

The Kernel track & field teams continue their Varsity State Championships today. They’re at Sioux Falls Howard Wood Field for a couple more days. A day one result includes the boys 4x800M relay earning 8th place at State. It was a team of Ben Gerlach, Hunter Patton, Landon Johnson, and Keniel Padilla. The competition starts at 9:30am today and 10am tomorrow morning.

MLB

The Minnesota Twins rounded out their series with the Chicago White Sox last night. It was Chicago who got the win and also took the series after the 6-2 victory last night. The White Sox’s Davis Martin allowed just one run and two hits through six innings. Minnesota falls to 27-30 overall. Tonight the Twins begin a new series on the road against the Pittsburgh Pirates at 5:45pm on Apple TV.

WNBA

The Minnesota Lynx return to action tonight on the road. They will be taking on the Chicago Sky and aim to get their fourth straight win. The game will be at 6:30pm on ION in Chicago, IL.

NBA

The Western Conference Finals Game 6 went down last night between the No. 2 seed San Antonio Spurs and the No. 1 seed Oklahoma City Thunder. Game 7 this weekend it is! San Antonio dominated Oklahoma City and won by a score of 118-91. Victor Wembanyama led all scorers with 28 points and added 10 rebounds for a double-double.
