MLB

After a bad Sunday loss against the Cubs, the Twins laid an even bigger egg to open a set at Cleveland. Minnesota fell to the Guardians 13-4, with Joe Ryan getting shellacked. The Guardians nailed him for eight earned runs on ten hits in just four innings of work. Six of the ten hits left the yard. By the end of the night, Cleveland had amassed 19 hits in total.

Trevor Larnach and Brooks Lee both had a pair of hits and an RBI in the loss.

WNBA

The Minnesota Lynx won their sixth game in a row on Monday night, but it was a knock-down, drag-out battle in Seattle. The Lynx trailed the Storm with only four minutes to go in the final frame when Kayla McBride dropped a three that put them up a bucket. The Storm wouldn’t fade away, though. Seattle missed a game-tying three-point attempt at the buzzer to give the Lynx the hard-earned 105-102 victory.

Both McBride and guard Olivia Miles went over 30 points for the game to pace the Lynx.
