The league’s Commissioner’s Cup Championship game was last night between the Las Vegas Aces and the New York Liberty. The Aces were without Aja Wilson due to a right leg injury she suffered Sunday night against Chicago. Without Wilson, the Aces couldn’t manage to get a win and lost to the Liberty 93-85. New York is the first team to win multiple Commissioner’s Cup Championships since the Cup began in 2021. Sabrina Ionescu and Breanna Stewart combined for 51 points in the win, and Stewart was named the game’s MVP.
