Mitchell Track & Field

The Kernel track & field teams are competing today on the road. They’ll be in Huron at Huron Tiger Stadium for the Huron Invite. Things will start at 2pm.

Mitchell Tennis

The Kernel boys tennis team will have a pair of Duals today. Time and location have changed recently, and the matches will be played in Sioux Falls at Kuehn Park. Mitchell will face Rapid City Central at 1:30pm and then Rapid City Stevens at 4pm.

DWU Baseball

The Tiger baseball team is set for afternoon game action today. They will host Alumni Weekend in Mitchell at Drake Field, and they will face the Dordt Defenders in a doubleheader. The first pitch will be at 2pm.

DWU Track & Field

The Tiger track & field teams are each set to compete in the Sioux City Relays today. This morning DWU will be in Sioux City, IA and begin the competition for both the men and the women at 10:30am.

MLB

The Minnesota Twins have now made it four straight wins after yet another win over the Detroit Tigers, winning this one 3-1. That makes it a sweep after what was a slow game for most of the night as it was tied up 1-1 entering the eighth, but a pair of runs in the bottom of the eighth did the trick. Brooks Lee hit a tiebreaking two-run single to put them out in front. Minnesota is now 7-6 overall and 5-2 at home. The Twins will begin a new series tonight when they travel to face the Toronto Blue Jays on MLBTV with the first pitch at 6:07pm.

NBA

The Minnesota Timberwolves are in the fight for seeding for the upcoming NBA playoffs, and so are the team they will be facing tonight. They’ll be in Houston taking on the Rockets at the Toyota Center. Tipoff is set for 8:30pm on Prime Video.
