Mount Vernon Warns About Recent Spike In Vandalism

MOUNT VERNON, SD (Mitchell Now) — The City of Mount Vernon is warning residents on Facebook about a string of vandalism in recent weeks.

The post asks property owners to secure their belongings, lock their doors, and be more vigilant. Most of the incidents involve property damage, but no more specifics were given. City officials say they have notified the Davison County Sheriff’s Office and an investigation is ongoing.
