Mitchell Football

The Kernel football team is having their final road game of the season tonight. They will be in Brandon, SD taking on the Brandon Valley Lynx at Brandon Valley high school and the game will begin at 6pm for kickoff this week.

Mitchell Tennis

The Kernel girls tennis team continues Class AA State Tournament competition today. They will compete in Sioux Falls at 8am today Tomar Park.

Mitchell Volleyball

The Kernel volleyball teams continue play tonight and will be at home. Mitchell will host Rapid City Central with JV and freshman playing at 4:30pm, sophomores at 5:30pm and varsity at 6:30pm.

Mitchell Cross Country

The Kernel cross country team is getting set for their Varsity ESD meet. It is set to begin tomorrow here in Mitchell at Wild Oak Golf Course. They will get started at 11am.

DWU Volleyball

The (RV) Tiger volleyball team is on the road yet again tonight. They’ll travel to Crete, NE to face the Doane Tigers at the Haddix Center at 7:30pm. Tomorrow, they will take on Hastings in Hastings, NE at Lynn Farrell Arena at 3pm.

DWU Soccer

The Tiger soccer teams both return to the field tomorrow for a match on the road. They will each travel to Freemont, NE to play at Heedum Field against the Midland Warriors. Games will begin at 5pm for the men and 7pm for the women.

DWU Football

The Tiger football team is back home in Mitchell after a big win last week. They will host the Morningside Mustangs at Joe Quintal Field at 1pm.

SDSU Football

The No. 2 Jackrabbit football team returns home after a tough road test last week. They’ll be at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium hosting Northern Iowa. The game will begin at 2pm on ESPN+.

MLB

The Division Series has some teams still in action for Game 5’s over the next couple of days and one series came to a close last night. The No. 3 seed Los Angeles Dodgers sent the No. 2 seed Philadelphia Phillies home after a 2-1 win at home. Winning the series, 3-1. The Game 5 tonight will be between the No. 6 seed Detroit Tigers and the No. 2 seed Seattle Mariners at 7:08pm on FOX.

WNBA

The WNBA Finals Game 4 is scheduled for tonight in Phoenix, AZ. The No. 4 seed Phoenix Mercury will host the No. 2 seed Las Vegas Aces who has a 3-0 lead and look to avoid the series sweep in the first ever seven games series in the Finals. The game will be on ESPN and begins at 7pm.

NFL

Thursday Night Football took place between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants last night. It was a hat trick of touchdowns from Cam Skattebo that helped propel the Giants to a 34-17 win over the Eagles to begin week 6 action.
