Mitchell Football

The Kernel football is also playing tonight, and they will be home for a rivalry game here in Mitchell. They will host the No. 1 team in 11AA, the Huron Tigers, and the game will begin at 7pm.

Mitchell Volleyball

The Kernel volleyball team were at home last night in Mitchell taking on the No. 4 ranked Watertown Arrows. They took them down in straight sets and that now makes seven wins in a row for Mitchell. It is their longest winning streak since 2017. Their record improves to 13-4 overall.

DWU Soccer

The Tiger soccer teams will be in action again tomorrow night. They are home and ready to take on the Concordia Bulldogs at the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex. The men will play first at 4pm and the women at 6pm.

DWU Volleyball

The (RV) Tiger volleyball team also get back to the court tomorrow. They will be in the Christen Athletic Center hosting Concordia. The game will begin at 3pm.

SDSU Football

The No. 2 Jackrabbit football team is set to be on the road tomorrow afternoon. They will visit Murray, KY and take on Murray State at 1pm on ESPN+.

MLB

The Championship Series in the MLB had a pair of games last night. It was the No. 3 seed Los Angeles Dodgers at the No. 1 seed Milwaukee Brewers and it’s the Dodgers who came through with another win. They now have a 3-0 series lead after their 3-1 win in Game 3 at home. Next was the No. 1 seed Toronto Blue Jays at the No. 2 seed Seattle Mariners. After Seattle took the first two games, Toronto decided it was their turn to do the same and after taking Game 3 the other night, they took Game 4. The 8-3 win makes a tied series at 2-2.

NFL

Thursday Night Football kicked off week 7 last night with a nice matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cincinnati Bengals. It came down to the final seconds on TNF, and the Pittsburgh Steelers attempted a late-game comeback but fell short due to a game-winning field goal by Cincinnati. The Bengals won it, 33-31. The Minnesota Vikings will be playing on Sunday afternoon on FOX against the Philadelphia Eagles at home at Noon.
