Mitchell Football

The Kernel football team returns to the field tonight. They will be out West in Spearfish to take on the Spartans. The game will begin at 6pm MT/7pm CT at Lyle Hare Stadium.

Mitchell Golf

The Kernel boys golf team gets to compete this morning. They will be on the road in Yankton at Yankton Fox Run Golf Course at 10am playing in a Varsity Invitational.

Mitchell Cross Country

The Kernel cross country teams will be competing this morning. They’ll battle in a Varsity Invitational in Sioux Falls at Yankton Trails Park at 10am.

DWU Soccer

The Tiger men’s soccer team will host the South Dakota School of Mines in Mitchell this evening. They will play at the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex at 5pm. Then tomorrow they will host Concordia-Moorhead, also, at 5pm at the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex.

DWU Cross Country

The Tiger cross country teams are in action early tomorrow morning. Each team is competing in the Sunflower Open on the campus of Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa. The women will start at 9am and the men will start at 9:40am.

DWU Football

The Tiger football team will be back on the road tomorrow night when they travel to face Concordia. They will play the Bulldogs at Bulldog Stadium in Seward, NE at 6pm.

SDSU Football

The No. 2 Jackrabbit football team will host the “Beef Bowl” this weekend in Brookings, SD. SDSU has began their season 2-0 after a tough battle last week with No. 3 Montana State that went into double overtime. They will face the Drake Bulldogs tomorrow at 6pm at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium.

MLB

The Minnesota Twins get back to the field tonight after a day off yesterday. They return home to host the Arizona Diamondbacks who are 73-74 overall. The game will begin at 7:10pm.

WNBA

The Minnesota Lynx faced the Golden State Valkyries last night to close out the regular season. It was a dominant final game of the regular season for Minnesota, and they won it, 72-53. They were led by Natisha Heideman off the bench with 21 points. Next, it’ll be the playoffs for the Lynx. Minnesota is the No.1 seed, and the playoffs begin on Sunday, Sept. 14.

NFL

Week two got started last night with Thursday Night Football between the Washington Commanders and the Green Bay Packers. It was a game where Green Bay controlled it for most of the night and they came out on top, 27-18. The Minnesota Vikings will be playing in primetime this weekend. They will host the Atlanta Falcons at 7:20pm on NBC this Sunday night.
