Mitchell Football

The Kernel football team will be at home tonight for week five action. They will host the Tea Area Titans for Homecoming here in Mitchell. The game will begin at 7pm and be played at Joe Quintal Field.

Mitchell Tennis

The Kernel girls tennis team will be playing again tomorrow. It’ll be another road trip as they head over to Brandon Valley to play at Brandon McHardy Park at 9am.

Mitchell Soccer

The Kernel soccer teams took on Pierre last night for Homecoming at Joe Quintal Field. The girls were unable to get the win over Pierre and fell, 2-0. The boys, however, had themselves a battle and ended in a 1-1 tie.

Mitchell Cross Country

The Kernel cross country teams will be competing tomorrow. They will be in a Varsity Invitational at Lake Platte Golf Course against Platte-Geddes. Time is listed as TBD on the Mitchell Activities calendar.

DWU Golf

The Tiger women’s golf team is in action this weekend on the road. They will compete tomorrow in the Mustang Invitational at Marshall Golf Club. Time is listed as TBA on the DWU website.

DWU Soccer

The Tiger soccer teams are both set to take on Hastings on the road tomorrow. They will travel to Hastings, NE and play at Lloyd Wilson Field. The men will play at 5:30pm and the women will start at 8pm.

DWU Volleyball

The No. 24 Tiger volleyball team will be on the road tomorrow afternoon. They will take on the Midland Warriors at the Wikert Events Center in Fremont, NE at 5pm.

DWU Football

The Tiger football team hits the road again tomorrow. They will travel to Sioux City, Iowa to face the Briar Cliff Chargers at Memorial Field beginning at 1pm.

SDSU Football

The No. 2 Jackrabbit football team is back for football action after their bye week. They will host Mercyhurst in Brookings at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium at 2pm on ESPN+.

MLB

The Minnesota Twins took on the Texas Rangers again yesterday afternoon. It was smooth sailing for Minnesota as they cruised past Texas, 4-0, to close out the series. Next, the Twins will travel to Philadelphia to play the Phillies at 5:45pm tonight.

WNBA

The WNBA Semifinals continue with a pair of Game 3’s tonight. You’ll have the No. 6 seed Indiana Fever hosting the No. 2 seed Las Vegas Aces on ESPN2 with the series tied 1-1. The No. 4 seed Phoenix Mercury will host the No. 1 seed Minnesota Lynx also on ESPN2 with the series tied 1-1.

NFL

Thursday Night Football was in full swing last night between the Seattle Seahawks and the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals nearly staged a comeback late in this game but fell short to the Seahawks 23-20.
