Sports Roundup: Wednesday 10/1/25

Mitchell Soccer

The Kernel soccer teams are set to compete again tomorrow. They are traveling over to play West Central at the Anderson Soccer Field. Varsity girls will play at 3:30pm, while the boys varsity starts at 5:30pm.

Mitchell Volleyball

The Kernel volleyball team will be on the road again tomorrow to Sioux Falls for their match. They are taking on Sioux Falls Roosevelt at Sioux Falls Roosevelt high school. Freshman and JV play at 4:30pm, sophomores play at 5:30pm and varsity starts at 6:30pm.

Mitchell Cross Country

The Kernel cross country teams are on the road tomorrow as well. They will be in Watertown competing at Watertown Municipal Cattail Golf Course. Their Varsity Invitational will begin at 4pm.

DWU Soccer

The Tiger soccer teams will be on the road tonight for their match. They will be in Orange City, Iowa at the NWC Soccer Complex to face the Northwestern Red Raiders. The men will play first at 5pm and the women will follow and play at 7:30pm.

WNBA

The WNBA Semifinals Game 5 went down last night between the No. 6 seed Indiana Fever at the No. 2 seed Las Vegas Aces and it went to overtime. In the end, it was the Las Vegas Aces who emerged victorious in OT with a 107-98 win. They were led by Aja Wilson who posted 35 points and Jackie Young added 32 points.

NFL

Tomorrow is Thursday Night Football. It will be a matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Rams. The game will air on Prime video and kickoff at 7:15pm.
