Mitchell

The Kernel track & field teams enter the final day of their Varsity State Championships Saturday at Sioux Falls Howard Wood Field. Results from Friday include the girls 4x100m relay team of Ryan Keys, Emilie Ellis, Abby Hohn & Addie Siemsen finishing 10th and breaking the school record in Mitchell by .01 this weekend. As well as the girls 4x200m relay team jumped to 3rd all-time in the Kernel Top 10 after a 10th place finish for the team of Hohn, Ellis, Siemsen and McKenna Auch. The boys 4x200m team of Sam Mullenmeister, Miguel Vizcarra, Ben Johnson and Samari Wright also finished in 10th place at State. Bryer Stach ended up earning a fourth-place finish in discus. The competition for Mitchell’s final day starts at 10am on Saturday morning.

MLB

The Minnesota Twins will be playing their final two games of their three-game series with the Pittsburgh Pirates over the weekend. Saturday they will be playing at 3:05pm and Sunday they’ll start at 12:35pm with both games played at PNC Park in Pittsburgh, PA.

NBA

The Western Conference Finals Game 7 will be this Saturday to see who earns a trip to the NBA Finals. Saturday it goes down in Oklahoma City, OK as the No. 2 seed San Antonio Spurs visit the No. 1 seed Oklahoma City Thunder at the Paycom Center. Tipoff will be at 7pm on NBC/Peacock.
